Find Texas Rehab Programs Now

There is no time to waste when someone you love is in need of drug and alcohol rehabilitation. However, finding the program and facility that meets your specific criteria and fits with your particular scene will make all the difference for long term sobriety. Every addicted person is different. Every person has different needs and therefore no rehabilitation method or methodology is right for everyone. Despite the desperation of trying to get recovery started right now it is prudent to spend a short period of time understanding the differences in treatment approaches and facility offerings so that checking in doesn’t become a wasted effort.

I was amazed at how easy it was to work with you’re specialists. They were very caring, seemed to have all the answers and really helped my husband and I figure out exactly what we needed to do to get our son the treatment program he truly needed. Thank you very much from the bottom of our heart.

In Texas there are over 300 rehab centers. There are of course treatment centers in the major metro areas of the state including Abilene, Amarillo, Ardmore, Austin, Beaumont/Port Arthur, Bryan/College Station, Corpus Christi, Dallas/Fort Worth, El Paso, Harlingen, Houston, Laredo, Lubbock, Odessa, San Angelo, San Antonio, Shreveport, Tyler, Victoria, Wichita Falls/Lawton. There are also sporadic facilities located in smaller more rural areas as well. No matter where you are in Texas there are treatment centers available either close by or in other locations. The important thing to keep in mind is that location is very secondary in importance relative to effectiveness of the treatment program.

Every facility will vary in services offered, cost of treatment, methodology of recovery and facility amenities among other things. There are Residential treatment programs, partial hospitalization programs, intensive outpatient programs, counseling programs and sober living programs.

Residential treatment : A person undergoing residential treatment will live at the treatment facility of choice the entire duration of care. Most residential treatment programs will require a time commitment of 30-90 days or in some cases longer.

Partial hospitalization: People who need a higher level of care including ongoing medical monitoring but whom have a stable living environment and strong support system may opt for Partial Hospitalization. These type programs usually meet at the hospital for 3-5 days a week for 4-6 hours per day doing counseling or group meetings etc.

Intensive outpatient program (IOP): An intensive outpatient treatment program is not a live in facility but the person is still required to commit to major times during the week to undergo therapeutic processes. A person undergoing this type of treatment will usually meet at the facility or office a minimum of 3 days a week for 2-4 hours a day or more. The major focus is relapse prevention.

Counseling (Individual, Group, or Family): Therapy can help you identify the root causes of your drug use, repair your relationships, and learn healthier coping skills.

Sober living – A person undergoing sober living will reside at a house with other recovering addicts in a supportive drug-free environment. Sober living facilities are useful if you have nowhere to go or you’re worried that returning home too soon will lead to relapse.

Each of these type services will be beneficial to some people but not the right choice for many others. There are many factors involved in the decision as to which components will best fit into a successful recovery path for any individual. These components must be weighed in as to their respective strengths and an analysis made as to the path which will yield the highest likelihood of full recovery from drug and alcohol addiction.
